How to Install TiviMate on Android & Fire TV

9/5/2026

Why TiviMate

TiviMate has become the go-to app for IPTV on Android TV and Fire TV devices — it has the smoothest interface, solid EPG (TV guide) support, and handles buffering more gracefully than most alternatives. If you're on a Fire Stick or Android TV box, this is the app we'd recommend starting with.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A stable connection — at least 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps if you're watching 4K
  • Your StratosPlay login (sent after your order is provisioned)
  • A Fire TV, Android TV, or Android device

Installing on Fire TV / Fire Stick

TiviMate isn't on the Amazon Appstore, so you'll sideload it:

  1. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources
  2. Install the Downloader app from the Appstore
  3. Open Downloader and enter the TiviMate APK URL (we'll share the current link in your welcome message)
  4. Install and open TiviMate

Installing on Android TV / Google TV

If your device has the Play Store, it's simpler — just search "TiviMate" and install directly.

Adding your subscription

When TiviMate opens, choose Add Playlist, then enter the login details we sent you (either an M3U URL, or your username/password if using Xtream login). Give it a minute to load — with a library this size, the first sync takes a little longer than a typical app.

A couple of tips

  • Browse a few channels across different categories right after setup. If everything loads fine except one or two categories, that's usually a temporary source issue, not a problem with your setup — message us and we'll check it.
  • If you get occasional buffering, TiviMate lets you switch the internal player to MX Player or VLC in Settings → Playback — sometimes that alone fixes it.

Frequently asked questions

"Add Playlist" is stuck loading or fails — what now? Double-check you copied the full URL or username/password with no extra spaces, and confirm your device has a working internet connection (try loading a website in a browser app first). If it still fails after a retry, message us on Telegram — it's usually a one-character typo in the login, not a broken subscription.

M3U URL or Xtream login — which one do I use? Either works with TiviMate; they're just two different ways of pointing the app at the same subscription. We send both in your welcome message — M3U is a single link, Xtream login is a server address plus separate username/password. If one doesn't work, try the other.

TiviMate isn't showing up when I search the Fire TV app store — why? That's expected — TiviMate isn't distributed through the Amazon Appstore at all, which is why it has to be sideloaded via Downloader (see the install steps above) rather than searched for directly.

Can I use TiviMate on more than one device with the same login? Yes — install it on as many devices as you like. What's limited is how many can stream at the same time, based on your plan's device allowance. See our device limits guide for details.
